Accountant (3-5 years experience)
Location: Pune, India

Our growing software company based in the USA is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our financial books and ensure compliance with both Indian and international accounting and tax requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting duties including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax filing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the company’s accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, budgets, and other management reports
• Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP and IFRS accounting standards as well as all relevant tax regulations in India and the USA
• Coordinate with the US-based finance team to consolidate financial information and provide accurate reporting
• Implement and maintain efficient accounting processes and controls
• Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors as needed
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an Accountant, preferably supporting a global/cross-border business
• Proficient in Indian and international accounting principles, standards, and tax compliance
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Fluency in English required
